REVIEW OF GUIDELINES TO POSTING COMMENTS
Before launching into the issues, a few remarks on posting are due: Commercial advertisements are not acceptable as part of
scholarly research. Nevertheless, correspondents must be allowed to cite references. When commenting, one should keep all
references in the third person, especially when referring to one's own work --i.e. refrain from entering "my book", "my article",
"my video" etc., and simply enter the title of the work and author(s) followed by a number in brackets [N], referring to a URL
or other publication information, which is to be cited under 'References' at the end of one´s commentary.
For example, in recognition of the anniversary of Kenneth Arnold's June 24, 1947 sighting and remarkably accurate recording of the incident -without prior knowledge of 'UFOs'- let me initiate the referencing with this very example, the republication of Arnold's work by his granddaughter[1] to appear at the end of the following introduction. Again, regarding the purpose of this site and its referencing policy, no disparagement of authors is intended: those who wish to make their works commercially available may do so by citing publisher’s URLs. Many books, articles, videos are based on sound research, studious analysis, and laborious preparation –for which authors are due recognition and recompense. Many such works will be cited in this presentation, and will comprise a valuable database, often referenced to commercial sources. Only the text body of the articles and commentaries must be free of advertisements of any sort: think of a PhD dissertation –this is how the ideal contribution should read, even when expressed in layman’s terms. Herein, advertisements must be confined to the content of cited sources, segregated in the Reference list at the end of each article.
INTRODUCTION
PROTO-SAPIENS and METATERRESTRIAL
The ´Proto-Sapiens´ hypothesis, briefly stated, is that long, long ago, a branch of hominid evolution developed into a technically advanced species who preceded modern Homo sapiens by tens or hundreds of thousands of years. They became space-faring, but for reasons yet unknown also became estranged from their own planet Earth and unable to thrive in the terrestrial environment. They have been seeking means and terms for re-adaptation and resettlement on Earth throughout human history. Hence their appearance throughout history as´UFOs´ --encountered by humanity as they proceed with their agenda.
To elaborate, the term 'Proto-Sapiens' is introduced to describe a hypothetical early intelligent primate, which may or may not belong specifically to the Hominid genus, who managed to evolve independently to a technologically sophisticated degree --long before Homo sapiens began to acquire such skills. Having mastered its terrestrial environment, this species then developed space travel capability far beyond present human status. And having achieved all the material security and luxury afforded by advanced technology, they enjoyed the longevity and leisure needed to explore space and establish facilities, bases and settlements in other parts of the solar system --on the Moon and Mars in particular. This would account for the signs of ruins of advanced civilization reportedly discovered on other planets. Proto-Sapiens had thus become not 'extraterrestrial', but 'METATERRESTRIAL'.
What happened then? The very advancements of Proto-Sapiens led to its gradual demise: having lost the need for physical activity, outdoor exposure, and all the regular stresses experienced by more 'primitive' species, they became indolent in body, while relying on technological and intellectual prowess to maintain their primacy. Their brain size increased while their bodies dwindled, resulting in the short, frail physique with large heads typical of 'E.T.' descriptions today. With their decline in physical vigor came a decline in their immune function, due to their artificial and sterile environment, to the extent that they had become vulnerable to all of Earth's infectious microbes and viruses. (Think of the demise of the martian invaders in H.G. Wells´ War of the Worlds) Thus they became dependent exclusively on their technology for survival, and were confined to very specialized conditions and environments. They also began losing their digestive and reproductive functions --and had to resort to ever more artificial techniques to sustain their species.
Nonetheless, they were probably able to maintain their civilization and their exo-terrestrial outposts for many millennia, along with terrestrial bases hidden in remote areas of the Earth, appropriately ‘’cloaked" with greatly advanced technology to prevent their discovery by, and threat from, a technically progressing Homo sapiens. At some point, however, they began to recognize that their species was not sustainable through technology alone: their genetic constitution was failing, their numbers were decreasing, and they were unable to re-engineer their own biology sufficiently to become viable again on their home planet. They began to realize that they were a ‘dying race’, and desperately sought another means of survival. Their only hope: they must somehow ‘graft’ themselves onto a strain of their primitive earthly cousins, whose immune, digestive and reproductive systems would provide them with the adaptive viability for re-entry and survival in Earth’s biosphere. To accomplish this transition, the Hominid genus would have to be prepared for an ultimate direct encounter with Protosapiens, by which human genetic material would have to be obtained to enable Proto-sapiens to be successfully grafted with Homo-sapiens –to the point when the hybrid of the two races would be able to produce viable offspring. When did all this begin? One can only speculate –possibly around the appearance of ‘Java Mean’ or ‘Peking Man’, perhaps earlier, perhaps later –likely when hominoid brain growth began most notably to accelerate. But their ultimate goal has ever been to produce a reproductively viable hybrid of Homo- and Proto-sapiens –in other words, the Metaterrestrials are attempting to forge a modern Missing Link between the two species.
However, this arrangement is not necessarily a happy one, nor is it likely to be wholly agreeable to either side: humans will naturally resent the invasive behavior reported in their encounters, the interruption of their private lives, and the prospect of an 'alien' hybrid presence on their planet. Metaterrestrials (MTs) may feel reluctant to 'regress' themselves to an 'inferior' quasi-human status, and then have to share their hegemony over the solar system with a 'lower' species.
The 'exo-political' difficulty may thus be more problematic than the exo-technological challenge, and this could be a clue to the secrecy surrounding the UFO conundrum. At the same time, the Metaterrestrials (MTs) must cherish and preserve the link to survival provided to their species by Homo sapiens, and cannot afford to damage their prospects for species hybridization. If Proto-sapiens is on the brink of extinction, as this hypothesis proposes, then their efforts will become ever more desperate as their time runs out --meaning essentially that they will make use of humans in whatever manner they may deem necessary, regardless of human objections or ethics, out of sheer survival instinct.
The Status Today
Without access to classified government files, one cannot make any definitive statement, or ‘Estimate of
the Situation’ regarding the status of UFO interaction with humanity –except that it has been hidden from
the general population, and remains hidden for reasons that must be serious. Otherwise, why all the top-
secrecy, forbidden access, concealed evidence, and obfuscation?
Despite all the attempts at cover-up, one thing must be certain: the pilots of the UFOs themselves can, at will, with their technological superiority, make themselves known to the world’s populations at any time. That neither do they disclose themselves openly, nor do the governments disclose any real knowledge of their existence, tends to indicate that some sort of arrangement has been made between the ‘visitors’ and the world’s governments. This lends credence to the numerous leaks regarding secret meetings between the two entities –most notably the alleged meeting between ‘aliens’ and President Eisenhower in 1954 at Holloman Air Force Base in New Mexico.[2] According to one such report:

Former US President Dwight D Eisenhower had met aliens at least thrice at a remote air base in New Mexico in 1954 -- this is according to a bizarre claim by an ex-American government consultant.
The 34th President of the United States, known as Ike, met the extra terrestrials at Holloman Air Force base, in New Mexico, after FBI agents made contact through "telepathic messages", according to lecturer and author Timothy Good.
The two parties met up on three separate occasions at the Holloman Air Force base, and there were "many witnesses", the 'Daily Mail' online quoted as saying Good, who worked for Pentagon and the US Congress.
Speaking on Frank Skinner's BBC2 current affairs show Opinionated, he said that aliens at the first meeting were "Nordic" in appearance, but a deal was signed with a race called "Alien Greys".
Good said: "Aliens have made both formal and informal contact with thousands of people throughout the world from all walks of life."
Asked why the aliens don't go to somebody "important" like US President Barack Obama, he said: 'Well, certainly I can tell you that in 1954, President Eisenhower had three encounters, set up meetings with aliens..." He added that there were "many witnesses".
Eisenhower, who was the US President from 1953 to 1961, is known to have had a strong belief in life on other planets. Conspiracy theorists have circulated rumours that the meeting between Eisenhower and aliens took place.
Analysis
Several features of the report might arouse suspicion/seem questionable: It appears in a newspaper out of India in 2012, a very long way and many decades from the action. One would wish corroboration from an American source, soon after the encounter with “many witnesses”.
That FBI agents, rather than Defense department agents, would make the arrangements seems unlikely, and that telepathy, and not technology, would be the means of contact also arouses skepticism. The “Nordic” appearance, often mentioned but never explained, is a very odd feature of alien encounters, which needs further investigation itself. And just who is Timothy Good, and where did he get his information? Nevertheless, the basic story line is not at all incredible, given the context of the foregoing hypothesis; but by the time reports appear in print, the details can easily become corrupted in the re-telling, or ‘red flag’ alerts may be inserted deliberately to damage credibility: ”Conspiracy theorists have circulated rumours…” being a typical example.
Thus, the principal purpose of this forum is analysis, that essential complement to data-gathering which completes the scientific method. Authors of UFO studies have done extraordinary work in collecting information, uncovering sources, tracking down witnesses, and personally visiting sites of reported activity, and have thus laid a broad foundation for succeeding research. But to date, not only has incontrovertible physical evidence failed to materialize, but more to the point, no comprehensive explanation for all the disparate leads, reports and activities has yet been agreed upon by those prominent in the field. For example, in ‘TRINITY’ [3] Harris and Vallee have done extraordinary journalistic work in locating the witnesses, then minors, now seniors, and obtaining a first-hand account of a landing of an unidentified craft in southern New Mexico two years before the Arnold sighting. But now remains the task of working all sources of information into a comprehensive, cohesive theory, of the entire UFO phenomenon itself. This is where intense scientific analysis becomes necessary– that essential component of the 'science of detection' –the “ability to reason backwards” as Conan Doyle would have it. When all the dots are properly connected, the truth may be so obvious that disclosure will have become a ‘fait accompli’.

DEVELOPMENT OF THE PRINCIPAL METATERRESTRIAL THESIS
With the above introduction in place, elaboration on the development of Protosapiens, the reasons for
their demise, and their reaction to their predicament may now proceed. This will detail more precisely
who the 'aliens' really are, what their activities are, and what their goals -so important to them- really are. The analysis will ultimately lead to answering the question: Why all the secrecy, from governments and 'aliens' alike? But first, to provide the necessary background, a brief overview of the traditional competing theories relating to the ‘Alien’ presence will be found useful.
To simplify the analysis, the UFO phenomenon may be classified into three general categories:
1 -They are all hoaxes, hallucinations, delusions or misidentifications of ordinary terrestrial phenomena.
2 -They are the product of very advanced top secret scientific and military programs of earthly
government, corporate, or secret society enterprises.
3 -They are genuinely ‘extra-terrestrial’ –meaning that they developed independently on another planet,
in another solar system or even another galaxy.
Although all of these have been and continue to be proposed, and all of them have some degree of
merit as explanations –in the sense that they could account for at least some of the unexplained
phenomena– they are each arguably flawed in their reasoning, application and evidentiary basis.
Category (1) fails simply because there have been too many encounters, reported by too many credible
witnesses -often multiple and independent of one another- to be dismissed by any of the reasons given in
this category. Though no remains of alien craft or their occupants have been made available to the public,
physical traces of their presence have been observed and documented by persons with unimpeachable
probity.
Category (2) fails because there is no known human technology that can account for the performance,
maneuvers and capabilities demonstrated by UFOs –or, if human technological discoveries alone were
responsible, these could not have been kept completely secret by mere human agency for all the decades
they have been reported since the development of aviation. Something would have been ‘leaked’ by now.
Furthermore, the accounts of UFOs in writings, engravings, depictions and legends from previous centuries
-especially those of great antiquity- can in no way be explained by a human technology that did not exist at
that time.
Category (3) fails principally because there is as yet no incontrovertible evidence that intelligent extra-
terrestrial life exists, let alone such extra-terrestrial civilizations, or that they have, or physically could
have, the technical capability for interstellar travel. Of course, one cannot prove a negative, and “absence of evidence” is not necessarily “evidence of absence” –but the extra-terrestrial theory at present does not satisfy the ‘burden of proof’ requirement of science.
ARGUMENTS FOR THE PROTOSAPIENS HYPOTHESIS OVER THE EXTRATERRESTRIAL
At present, Planet Earth is the only place in the cosmos where intelligent life, or for that matter,
life of any sort is known to exist. Not even a microbe has been proven to have originated
anywhere else. Therefore, the ‘Extraterrestrial Hypothesis’ must be founded on the assumptions
a, that life formed independently elsewhere,
b, became technically advanced, and
c, managed to travel successfully to Earth.
Protosapiens is founded on the knowledge that intelligent life has developed at least once on
Earth, became technically advanced, and has proceeded into the early stages of space travel.
Given the known time span for hominoid evolution, and the multiple proto-human types of fossil
specimens discovered to have been formed over several million years, this must be taken a
strong foundational evidence of the possibility that at least one other proto-human variant had
arisen ahead of Homo sapiens and become technically advanced independently.
The question of morphological similarity of the ‘aliens’ to humans is then answered: they are
distant relatives of species of the hominid genus, all descended out of the Primate order and
genetically similar. making humans the natural choice for interbreeding with Protosapiens which,
according to some accounts, may have already begun.
The difficulties and hazards of long-distance interstellar space travel, over many light years, and
requiring centuries by any presently known means of propulsion, are thus eliminated by the
original native proximity of Protosapiens.
(Those who argue that the ‘aliens’ first developed elsewhere in our own solar system, e.g. Mars, and then migrated to Earth due to some ancient calamity, bringing their science and ‘pyramid culture’ with them have simply got the shoe on the wrong foot: the ‘evidence’ of structures on Mars, the Moon, and elsewhere really indicate that an earlier advanced terrestrial culture had settled other parts of the solar system in very ancient times, but for reasons unknown could not sustain itself in those environments. The idea that Humans are really the descendants of visiting Martians is scientifically naive: this would require that beings had evolved independently in the Martian biosphere with a genetic blueprint coincidentally over 98% identical to terrestrial anthropoid apes!. The odds are ‘astronomically’ against such an occurrence. Besides, why should native Martians have been at all adaptable to Earth’s pathogenic microbiome?)
PROTOSAPIENS ORIGINS
As to the terrestrial location, environment, and circumstances in which Protosapiens arose,
evolved, and thrived, little can be asserted at present. This is likewise true for any precise time
line of their development that might be proposed. The only piece of anthropological evidence
presently at hand is the aforementioned plethora of different varieties of primate which have
dwelt on Earth over the past several million years. Out of one of these, possibly in a place of
remote geographical isolation, secure from larger competing primates and other predators (e.g.,
a large peninsular land mass which became an island, or a bountiful territory secured by early
palaeolithic weapons development) one clever strain of advanced primate pursued its own
evolutionary pathway to superior intellectual development. The progress of anthropological
science continues to affirm this possibilty through discovery of an ever increasing number of
‘new’ species of hominid variants, now known to have existed in ages past.
(It must be remembered, too, that the vast majority of individuals of all orders of life do not
conveniently become fossils for future scientists to find; thus entire species of ‘missing links’ may
have thrived and perished without leaving a trace in the fossil record). A great number of such
early variants, contemporaneously inhabiting Earth, seems to have existed around the time of ‘ancestral Australopithecus’ several million years ago –the many small and rather frail subspecies of bipedal proto-hominids, about 3 ft. in stature, each of whom had a chance of evolving, eventually, into a technologically dominant species.
The most recent of these discoveries concerns the Indonesian ‘Hobbit’, Homo floresiensis, on
the Indonesian island of Flores. The specimens, barely 3 ft in height and [?] lbs. In weight, were
initially dated to an astonishing 12,000 years before present! It is as if a strain of Australopithecus
had survived successfully through a couple million years onto the threshold of the modern
human Neolithiic period. Can one suppose then, that another strain could have evolved larger
brains and technical abilities due to intense selective pressures in another environment?
Indeed, this calls to mind the strange story of the ‘Dropa’ race.[4] For those unfamiliar,
a Chinese archaeology professor claimed to have discovered evidence in 1938 of a crashed spaceship near the China-Tibet border, where a system of mountain caves held remains of many small hominids with large heads and spindly bodies, around 3 ft. tall --later carbon-dated to 12,000 years before present. This report, and its possible relation to Protosapiens will be dealt with in detail later.
THE SECRECY
Nearly as intriguing as the ‘extra-terrestrial/UFO’ problem itself, is the tremendous degree of
secrecy enveloping it –or secrecy and ridicule applied to it. Given the predicament of
Protosapiens as proposed in this dissertation, and their desperation to survive by any means
possible, it follows that they would seek refuge in the human genome, and resuscitation of
their own ailing species through genetic ‘grafting’ with human DNA. This attempt at
hybidization with humanity is the aforementioned clue to all the government secrecy and
obfuscation: In order to obtain the genetic material and perform the necessary operations,
Protosapiens must have access to human subjects! This means abduction, examination,
and experimentation with unwilling and often unknowing specimens of Homo sapiens.
Ordinarily, such activity would be branded highly criminal by any civilized government,
whose mechanisms for investigation and law enforcement, backed by military force, would be
brought to bear on the perpetrators. However, Protosapiens have their own means of
persuasion: they offer these governments access to fantastically advanced technology –to be
used for intelligence gathering and communication, espionage and surveillance,
propulsion and weapons development. The normal rate of technological advance cannot
compete with Metaterrestrially enhanced development. Thus, playing the various governments
against one another, by maintaining in them the need for weapons effectiveness among
themselves, Protosapiens is able to gain concessions from these governments to ‘harvest’ a
certain quota of their subject citizens. This is the scandal behind the secrecy. The governments
cannot allow the people to find out the truth about the ‘aliens’ and the real reason for their
Earthly presence, because this would likely cause a massive, and likely violent, popular revolt.
And the ‘aliens’ will not reveal themselves until they have successfully fulfilled their own
directive: a wholly viable hybrid of themselves and humans to inhabit the Earth on secure and
lasting terms. But there is apt to be serious strife between the two agencies over the
implications of those “secure and lasting terms”. Earthly governments are bidding for
complete technological parity with Protosapiens: not only for the technology itself, but to
secure sufficient means of defense, or ‘insurance’, against a possible Protosapiens hybrid
‘hostile takeover’ of the planet. Protosapiens, on the other hand, is bidding for biological
parity with Homo sapiens, striving to maintain its previously ‘earned’ hegemony over the solar
system, and not become mere ‘second class citizens’ in a Homo sapiens-dominated global
civilization. Hence, a tension must have developed in the Metaterrestrial negotiations,
by which mutually agreeable terms of cohabitation and disclosure have yet to be attained, and
in which ordinary human lives remain mere bargaining chips and pawns.
